Why You Need a Digital Vision Board
The first month of the year is wrapping up and I’m here to remind you about your New Year’s Resolutions. Have you gotten closer to completing your goals in the past twenty-four days? What methods are you using and are they helping you?
The method that has worked best for me is creating a vision board. A vision board is a poster board that contains images that represent your goals and how you feel about them. Mine usually included cut-out pictures and blocks of words from magazines. A vision board can be for any goal — to buy a house, to be more patient, to improve your marriage, to find a new job, to dedicate more time to health and fitness.
So vision boards are not a new concept for me. I know that successful people have used the practice of visualization and affirmations to reach their goals and live fulfilling lives. This is because vision boards keep us constantly aware of our goals. By constantly seeing them on display, we begin to prioritize them in our day-to-day lives. It also keeps us optimistic about the future. No matter what happens, we know we’re constantly working towards better things. Remaining positive opens us to recognizing opportunities.
